I know I cant post the actual picture of my project until friday but I can tell you it is using the very lovely Vintage Vogue stamp set (8stamps in all), heres the link to see the classes Senz

Well I have finally had a moment to create a 12x12 scrapbook page this afternoon and I loved it.
I finished night duty this morning, and now I have two weeks leave yahhhhho . I am off to Sydney next week for the Stampin up Convention Exciting +++ as I am sharing an apartment with two of the most Awesome Stampin up Demos in New Zealand Rachael Knight of Auckland and Pauline Mc Ardle of Napier she is on the design team for up to scrap so it will be chat chat chat I cant wait.

Then I also get the chance to get my hands on this wee chap again and his big brother Lachlan yum yum yum they are both such snuggly wee chaps

I have just finished making my 100 swaps and am swapped out then I have a couple of girlfriends coming over on Monday and Tuesday to do approximately a 40 page 12x12 wedding Album Yikes. I so hope to sleep on the plane over as it may very well be the only chance I get this fortnight LOL

The Launch of our new church House of Breakthrough has finally Happened and it is fantastic
Pastors Damien and Jacinda Goodsir and there fabulous team opened this weekend in the Oamaru Opera house. I cant tell you how good it was as it was such a huge God Moment.

Pastor's Norm and Jess McLeod along with Maori Cultural Group Waka Toa made the whole weekend AMAZING thank you house of Breakthrough Gisborne for sharing them with us

The work up to the launch was challenging at times but the weekend was exhilarating to say the least. Praise God for everyone involved and the purpose of this Church, and for those yet to come, and for the Lords infinate wisdom, power and joy amen

James had been away on saturday and it provided me with the opportunity to be in the kitchen for the whole afternoon, which I love I finished off my quince Paste and made croissant dough.

I have never made croissants before but I a pleased with the way may first batch came out Iwe had them for breakie before church with lovely homemade raspberry jam, oh sometimes it is true there is much pleasure in simple things

My Husband James and I where so blessed by the lord, this weekend I am nearly bursting from the Joy of it all, Church in the morning was the most powerful thing I have yet to experience with a total praise and worship service that totally moved me to a level that I have never been in before thank you lord and the family of the House of Breakthrough, amazing amazing.

We had planned to have a room at a bed in breakfast prior to attending an appointment in Queenstown the following day, Well can I just say I was delighted to find that not only did we get a room in a beautiful house but we had the whole house to ourselves complete with lake frontage olive groves vineyards and an awe inspiring collection to New Zealand art works.

James and My life have turned totally around in the past 2 months and we could not have made the changes in our lives that we have made or had the experiences that we have had in the past 8 weeks( and yet to come) with out Jesus Christ being in our lives. thank you Jesus amen

What a time was had this Afternoon I grabbed a pile of my very beautiful stampin up stamps and created this canvas based on the one demonstrated by the very fabulous and talented Nic Howard that I saw on Debbie McRobies website.

I just loved the way it all came together. I will list the stamp sets I played with today

Now those of you who follow my blog regularly will know that I don't get to use pink very often...

However for my loved up valentines card this year I thought I would use the softer pink and combine it with tangerine tango inks.

I just love the stampin up punches and for this card I have used the oval scallop punch along with the scallop edge punch and my new heart to heart punch

I rolled over pink card stock with my retro remix wheel from the current mini catalogue prior to punching the hearts , while the I love you is set in the vintage labels stamp set. Which for the next two months you can get the whole set (6 stamps in all) free.

I have spent a lot of time in the Kitchen lately which I totally love, doing preserving and jams however, Millie has just had enough of me being in "her Space" so she parked up on a shopping and refused to move out of the way

I have hand inked the circle circus stamp set and punched out 1 1/4 inch tiles to blend with the tiles in the lino the base papers are kraft and designer series bella bleu 12x12 paper. I have also stamped in riding hood red in with the defining alphabet

Hi there everyone just a short note to say that I haven't dropped off the face of the earth. I have been working extra for a bit more Christmas $$$$ and have been flat out hand making all my Christmas gifts this year that includes paper crafting, fabric and food as I hope to send food hampers this year .

However what I did want to show you is the absolute joy and often surprising nights you can have in a small semi rural hospital. this was taken on my cell phone

this wee blue penguin we rescued from our car park and away from a menacing cat in the middle of the night... he was an Acute admission and very cheeky we rang the local vet who came to his rescue

Also the next morning on the way home I couldn't get my car out of the car park as I had to wait as a mother duck and her 3 babies where deciding which side of the road to walk on as the chatted to each other and wandered along the middle of the road. lol not to be hurried obviously but boy where those babies cute

I was thrilled when I saw " A wish for Peace" stamp set in this years main catalogue as I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. First of all I stamped in night of navy ink onto the beautiful glossy paper to give a real depth of colour to the image then with my two way glue pen I placed riverlets of glue for my dusting of dazzling diamonds super sparkle glitter to cling to a quick shake and a winter wonderland is created.

The peace dove is mounted on night of navy cardstock and I have used some of my fabulous collection of heavy duty stampin up punches, here I have used small, large and scallop ovals which make life super easy, I have also used our new eyelet punch. I felt the ballet blue card stock offered a smooth transition from the dark night of the navy to the brilliance of the whisper white card stock

Christmas greetings where provided by the very versatile cute and curly stamp set that comes with the punch bundle "curly label. Finally from the current mini catalogue is the beautiful riding hood red and cream striped wide ribbon.

Kaikoura page Road trip

Just a few of my favourite things are on this page, travelling love it especially on a Train My Dad spent most of his working Career on the Railways from Shunter, Guard and Manager in Dunedin. Great times where often had by Sandra mum and I as we would get up in the middle of the night (it felt) and catch the train to my Nana and Grandads in Nelson. This Part of the trip was always memorable due to all the Tunnels that the train would go through.

Another Favourite is the TV show Logan and Brown more about that on other postings later , but the Often use Sea food in there show I really enjoyed the show covering this area and We also stopped at the infamous Nin's Bin for a couple of crays to go with fresh bread and butter with a pinch of salt......Devine

And Devine would also desribe the beautiful extremes of Land scape from the wind scuffed snow topped mountains to the ruggered black rocked coast

Road trip Wellington

James and I packed in sooo much in our couple of Days in Wellington I totally loved it and the weather was great thanks Sharlene your prayers where answered for us. All that walking deserved some food and we stopped at a place just a brisk walk from Te Papa called Wagamama which now has several branches around the North Island the bowl of steam soya beans was actually very moreish once I got into them as was the rest of the Asian fusion food we also had, Seafood Menrui, Edamame and Kara age please dont ask we what they mean it was a numbers game for me ie number 45, 104 and 108 LOL

For this page I have used paper from Bella Bleu and thanks a Latte stamp set headed the journalling block

Don't they look great all though they are totally modern Teens The formal was held in the historic part of Oamaru (you can google it) there for I opted for the more Victorian style paper's of Bella Bleu designer series paper to help carry through this theme.

For embellishment I have used Grey taffeta ribbon knotted (to match the neckline of Alex's dress and the knot of Craigs tie chip board stars are from the on board essentials pack and inked up in stampin up encore silver ink pad

edgings where created using scallop edge and eyelet boarder punches and a silver brad to hold the silver cord at the top of the page

Yes this is my effort for this years Fathers Day Card and Dad has given me Permission to post it Early. I have Used the choo choo set from the current mini as Dad worked on the Railway for as long as I have known until he retired you can really see on this photo but on each carriage is one letter of DAD stamped with Defining Alphabet and embellished with chocolate super Nova glitter (I love that glitter) On this card I have also used a set called riveting which is currently retired ...... but you never know if you go to a make and take day with you stampin up Demo she also might have this set for you to play with. And of course my most loved paper at the moment

I created this little project kit for storing my seed packets and documenting information about my different gardens and seed mixes to help me remember next year which was the most effective and productive

I have used the good morning sunshine designer series papers and the from the kitchen of stamp set journal ling block the initial idea for this project was in issue 2 of the innovation magazine.

I have put journaling blocks on the front of the pocket sleves which will hold the seed packets and other bits of info like photos I will take over this years growing season

I just love this paper urban oasis is so practical and fits so many styles of scrapbooking and when you put it together with great friend stamp set from the current mini catalogue I have also used silver and black embossing powder on the butterflies for a more masculine effect and popped the up on dimensional dots for exactly that dimension lol unfortunately the ribbon is not stampin up but check out the ribbon range in the current catalogue.

the alphabet set used is "defining" with craft white ink pad also used is the photo corner punch

Wow where have the years gone??? Our Boys are sooo handsome and grown up as you can see from these photos... must post a new one of Hamish as well.
In these two photos Craig new that he wouldn't have much time between returning from playing rugby in the 1st 15 till going to the formal and he knows how much James and I love to take photos so he completed a " photo shoot" the day before so we could get some nice photos

I caught up with Crichton this week and he shouted me a cup of Coffee and a photo you have to be quick though to get one so I think I did pretty well

My computer is on the fritz and this one is struggling as well so not sure when i can post again

One of the nights during the road trip I had the pleasure of staying with Pauline and Gary Mc Ardle stampin up demo in Napier and what a night we had as you can imagine sharing Ideas and plans for layouts, anyone one of these conversations involved the Choo Choo stamp set from the very soon to be released Mini Catalogue.

I love this set as I grew up around trains as My Father served many years as a guard on New Zealand Rail in Dunedin and we often started our holidays with a train trip to Picton and a bus ride to nelson to spend time with my mums family so I had to get this set

I really like the effect of two step stampin I have achieved on this card by stamping in one of the in colours then running around the edge of the stamp with chocolate chip stamp and write marker pen to create the outline effect and some extra dimension

Hubby and I are off on a Road trip tomorrow, he is collecting a car in Auckland and a I am going to Senz to catch up with some of the Team who have a display and classes there. Then is off to Napier to spend a great friend that I have met through Stampin up is Demonstrator Pauline McArdle for what I am sure will be an action packed evening of fun .

The Wellington and a Long awaited meal at Logan and Brown, of hunger for the wild tv show fame neat neat neat A few days in wellington checking out the sights then its the interisland ferry back over to the South Island.

Poor James in those spare moments I will be looking up in my fab wee book "Crafty girl's road trip of Nz awesome

Therefore I have made this handy little folder that holds tickets photo envelopes and extra papers and bits for jotting down Ideas I have made up postcard sets from the winter post stamp set to which I just a fix a photo and post on to like minded friends

Hi I have borrowed a friends lap top to put in a quick post, While mine is still on the fritz I have been very busy with yummy Winter activities of Making a Family Favourite both Mum's and Nana's Lemon Cordial that will beat any swine Flu I am sure . What a nightmare I am posting this from work in my tea breat at o4oohrs, just to let you know that my home lap top has had the blue screen of death for a week now and James is searching the net for more drivers to get it going so it has been a real bore I have had to do house work instead of posting but hopefully things will be up and running real soon

I havent been totally slack I have been working on a couple of 3d objects that you may just like so keep an eye out so to speak well wish me luck that i will be up and running again soon

Coaster Mini Album

This may appear to look like a 6x6 or bigger page but this album is constructed out of 3.5 x 3.5 inch coasters therefore there was not much room for embellishing but I managed to squeeze a little bit in the designer series papers used to cover the coasters is from the windsor knot collection and the stripped ribbons are the new in colour baja breeze

Hi everyone well I have to share the news and I am totally thrilled........ One of the newest members of my team Lives and creates in Timaru. Her name is Debbie McRobie and I just love what she has done here Not all of her supplies have arrived alas but look what she has done with the lovely Stampin up sweet nothings simply scrappin set and a dusting of Kiwi crush ink I just love it and now I am going to have to add that to my own wish list LOL

Debbie is starting to create here own blog so I look forward to her being on line to see what else she is up to0. So for now just contract me and I will transfer you to her re bookings for workshops or other events she is having until the blog is up and running

frosty mornings sunny days

Ok so I know this isn't stamping but the days have been so between snow flurries that I had to get outside and enjoy it. Another driving reason is I have new neighbours who even before they moved in cut down all the trees along the fence line YIKES no privacy at all so it was time to get into the yard and do some sorting

there are actually two trees in the photo above and they are six months apart in age awesome a grow quick screen that will be pretty to with sweet pea shaped flowers 6ft in a year growth wonder if that hurts??

I have these photos in the wrong order this is actually the end result of my new no dig gardens James knocked a few boxes together for me while I went out and sourced the raw materials

Lucerne hay, pea straw, chook poo and mushroom compost sound good to me

the boxes have been made the size of our path cuts down on the weeds there is the very ugly fence boo hoo but not for long

A little bit of town and country piles of straw and hay and organic materials.... doesn't that sound nice all complete with a very happy hole digging dog. Sariah didn't did holes at home until i grubbed out some old bushes oh no a nasty new habit. This is the biggest bin it is twice the size of the others.

I am planning to plant chamomile and thyme lawn as the grass has goon missing due to chooks pecking it away and a nosey pooch who likes to run up and down to the front wall and check out who is in the street. and also then she will have pizza smelling feet ...... pretty cool lol

Wow what a stormy old night last night snow and black ice in Dunedin and snow on the ground only for a short time at my place anyway thought it was time to bring out the "winter Post stamp set and give it a little run over the night of navy card stock ans scatter with a dusting of white embossing powder sound enticing well it is lol

The roads have been closed all day and James couldnt get down to pick up Hamish form university after his exams today good luck with your exams Hamish will see you soon

Opps what a bad blogger the days have just flown from my last posting.. Any way I thought it was time for a scrapbook page and I had great fun with the Designer Series paper good morning sunshine and my circle punches the chipboard leaves are from the on board so tweet collection Ribbon 1" double stiched Grosgrain in Chocolate Chip

As you can see from this close up I have punched circles out of one of the sheets of paper from this lovely set and punched out multiple sized circles with my circle punches. I then flipped the circles over and pasted some of them back into there original places but with the flip side image that is the white paper with yellow flower I have then lain this on another co ordinated sheet with choc chip back ground and yellow and blue flowers.

Baby Season

I never know what to call it when several of your friends are all expecting babies at the same time so I am going to call it baby season. I have started to make my cards . This one I did see when surfing the net sorry that I don't remember the site but I do love it so thank you. I have made the front cover the shape of a B for baby or it could be the lucky mums tummy, the front of the card has a circle cut out and the pram is set on the inside of the card so you look through. I did conform and use a selection of soft subtle papers and ribbons and pens those being certainly celery and apricot appeal

Stamp sets used in this card are Priceless, God's Blessings and fun and fast notes

I adore the verses in the God's Blessings stamp set the are so beautiful.

And below is one of my expectant mothers gifts it is a Nappy cake surrounded by snuggle rugs and a lovely soft towel in side are several doz nappies baby bottles and baby bits and pieces you can see really pretty ones on you tube mine looks a bit fat and wobbly but never mind I am sure the mums will be pleased : )

One of the many things I love about stampin up is there awesome punches and not the sort that land on the end of your nose there paper punches come in many shapes and sizes click on the catalogue symbol link at the top of the page to view them all on page 152'

Glitter + stampin round wheels= fun

The Ladies at my weekend workshop have already seen this project so I thought I better get it up and posted so that everyone else can have a peek. H ave used the stampin round wheel Neighbourhood and the very yummy supernova glitter on this 6x6 scrapbbok page
firstly I wheeled along the designer series paper Windsor Knot then I wheeled on whisper white, with versemark watermark stamp pad as it dries slower. Dusted that surface with heat and stick powder the techniquie is the same as using embossing powder the covered with glitter, reheated again gently and ker-pow that glitter is never coming off LOL for his page I have used the yummy green and the pink

A rose is a rose

Diane and I had great fun last night with fine supernova glitter and the rose is a rose set this is Diane's creation which is beautiful with the Rose being stamped in pink pirouette the second stamped with regal rose. She stamped two roses the cut them up and layered them with dimensional dots between the layers. Supporting papers used are Bella Rose Riding hood red and Kiwi Kiss

here is a cropped view of the layering I love the glitter it is amazingly fine and sparkly therefore a little hard to get a photo of but you get the idea yummy

Colour challenge 51

My submission for this weeks colour challenge by Kristina is using the stamp set bird on a branch. I have used the stampin pastels mustard, chocolate chip and regal rose for the scattering on the whisper white card stock. The scatterings represents someone who has left my life and how I often think of them, pardon the pun but often with rose tinted glasses, and how those thoughts of them float through your mind. Various colours and shades of colours for different emotions floating by

My oldest Step son Hamish is living the student lifestyle down in Dunedin but he still has a bit of a wine taste on a beer budget so to speak, and he has a taste for tastie treats lol

Anyway the task for me is to put together a selection of tastie but also affordable quick and easy dishes that come together to make a impressive meal if there is someone special coming over or you feel like a little luxury in your day without breaking the bank

I have used the from the kitchen of stamp set with the current in colours Kiwi kiss and Riding hood red as well as D/S paper BElla Rose I have place all three recipes that go together in a "Dinner Pack" for Hamish also I have pasted the photos of how it should look on the back of each index card as a Guide...................Enjoy

Photo story of Dunedin Regionals

Well this kind of says it all our regionals on the 18th of April 2009 where finally held in Dunedin the mid lower section of the South Island and boy was that a treat usually I have to drive over three hours to Get to Christchurch whereas for Dunedin it is one and a half hours yeah plus it is my home town so I get to sleep over at my girlfriends place go to the movies together and talk talk talk

For Myself this is one of the best sights in the world the final decent from the Northern Motor way and the hilly and harbour view of Dunedin itself I always have the feeling of returning home when you reach this point I have always lived in the hill Suburbs which in itself is often the snow line ....... I miss that now

Oh yikes yes this is me and I was lucky enough to be chosen by the Fabulous Emma to be on of the demonstrators doing a WOW the other was Paula from Invercargill and she was fantastic. Me being me I actually ended up showing three wows and I think the Ladies enjoyed them

this is just a very token sample of the wide variety of cards and three dimensional projects the other demonstrators and guests brought to the table it was totally awesome and you just get som many Ideas

I would like to think that we all had a brilliant day I know I did and I really enjoyed chatting and hanging out with Ladies from other teams it was very friendly great fun and welcoming I would like to think that new friendships where made so until the next time girls we will just have to check out each others Blogs

The regionals where held out at the airport and for those unfamiliar with the region I wouldn't mind guessing the thought they where going to the back of beyound. Thats what is so special about Dunedin and the Airport 5 mins out of town and its Country .. From the windows we could watch planes taking off and cows and sheep eating grass. It was great

I Had to put this barn side in as It has been a local Icon for ever and I just love it not that I am a country girl NO WAY but I always enjoy the rusticness of this signage.

When I saw the card that inspired this card on Kristina's blog hers is very very cute
I thought to myself what current stamp set do I have that could make one as well for a friend who is off work with broken bones ouch .

For my card I have used Rustic Rooster (level one) hostess set and Bird on a branch which we received at our regional meeting in Dunedin. can I just say I am really starting to like this little set and it is not one I would have picked for myself but is is very elegant

When Nz post let you Down

I am sooo sad today as a very special parcel for my niece and her grandfather whose birthday is a day apart have had there birthday Parcel misplaced even though it was sent track and trace.......... What is even worse than losing my wedding video on my fathers player, and the dress I had sent with hand made cards, was that because in contained a small amount of money for a phone top up card the other Items are said not compensated for so not only have I lost all these Items I also have to replace them myself ..... pretty double stinky

be warned gift vouchers etc also come under the label of money as per a post office front counter staff information (she was lovely thank you) cant say the same for the cold letter from nz post

However I will not give up and I have included that parcels return safely in my prayers

Colour challenge 50

Wow this is a very vibrant colour challenge by Kristina Werner .

I thought it was just perfect for a journal cover for a friend who is soon to be travelling overseas.

Unfortunately I couldn't seen to capture how beautiful the new fine super nova glitter by stampin up is I have used for this cover chocolate and Aqua and dazzling diamonds on the yellow card stock

The butterfly was hand cut which took some time but well worth the trouble as she is a lovely flyaway kind of girl. I have applied some crystal effects to the sailing ship in the bottom Left corner to give it a little pop this is a stampin up stamp from 1996 however I do not know its name The brad is fabric covered by K and co in red Turquoise and white pearls very yummy

Now I just have to get on and complete the rest of the Journal lol

As soon as I saw this stamp set from the Kitchen of I just knew I had to have it as I can see soooo many reasons for using it and I just love it.

I shared this Idea with a couple of girls at the South Island (Dunedin) regional meeting yesterday and thought I better post a wee picture so they can see what I was on about I have used as a set of photo dividers this time in conjunction with the window dressing stamp set

This Colour Challenge seemed to come around pretty quickly Kristina

And the challenge for myself was to make a Masculine card for my DaDs birthday therefore no yummy fluff I did however use the priceless stamp set to do the white embossing of the chipboard letters the other stamp set used was alphabet soup which is unfortunately no long available

It was great to colour it in with the challnge colours and to stamp the rose red card stock

Can you believe it 4 days into daylight saving finishing and we have had the first small fall of snow on the hills......and it is so cold here today I really dont look forward to winter especially when the wood shed is not full

I quickly whipped up a page from Saturday with Stampin up products this time the paper flowers have been re coloured with re inkers and water or rolled with a brayer on a stamp pad or punched out of cardstock also used are stampin up eyelets, brads and mat pac set to give the impression of stitching and the cutter kit to do all that distressing'.

I used Bali breeze designer series paper as it is the brightest paper I have and I kinda like it now that I have given it a go

Yesterday I had great delight with meeting and attending a scrapbooking day with Author Scrapbook Guru Nic Howard It was a fun day and a great opportunity to chat with Nic and to meet up with a lot of Old and New Friends

I really love using the stampin around wheels this on is called Nursery letters jumbo wheel which is great for any age school page as well as the baroque Border standard wheel which I am pretty sure will both be in the new Catalogue out the 1st of April.

stamps sets also used are live your dream (verse) and best friend alphabet upper and lower case sadly this set has been retired but I am looking forward to what stampin up will be replacing it with .

I Love walking through the bush to give Sariah (the dog) a good run and there is nothing nicer than being followed by a couple of cheeky fantails they are so hard to catch in a photo as the flit from place to place there where several different types of Fungi as well but this on came out the best I have only used papers from the spring showers pack to show how versitile stampin up designer series papers are in range and compatability

Millie(cat) and Hudini (budgie) are often found hanging out together Hudini is also known to clean Millies claws which he does chattering all the time. I would like to be able to say that millie would never have him for lunch..... but I am not sure that the friendship is that strong

this was a very quick wee card that was great for using up all those little bits of paper and for giving my paper crimper a wee outing out of its box I have used the petals and paisley designer series paper along with the scallop punch and of coarse the crimper it was inspired by the card making and papercraft magazine it is a shame they didnt note the actual person who made the card so we could check out their blog or maybe I just couldnt see it as I was speed reading the stamp set is from the soon to be finished sale a bration series "yummy" and it is off to canada to a very special girl called Alex
